The nostalgia is too strong.

    What Addons?

When World of Warcraft started out, it was rough around the edges, and addons made it a lot more manageable by introducing a lot of quality of life improvements. Forever benefits from World of Warcraft’s long line of quality improvements and addons.

That said, a few addons did stand out to me, and I want to try them when the time comes.

Spoken – Expressive, character-driven AI voiceover for WoW Forever and Classic. Quest dialogue, NPC gossip, zone lore, and books, read aloud.

Lore Forever – Zone, quest, and dungeon lore for WoW Forever, with narrated stories for every starting zone. Ask about any place, NPC, or quest without leaving the game.

Dialogue UI – Quest Dialogue UI with built-in camera control and gamepad support.

Forever Move – Drag any Blizzard window and keep it where you put it. Built for the WoW Forever beta client.

DarkMode / Dark Mode (Color HUD, Ui & Windows) – Changes the color of the ui and windows

  • What class to play?

I’m honestly torn here as I don’t usually play too many alts; I have 2-3 and a bank character right now in retail; in classic I have a main and a bank alt.

Forever might be the first for me to have multiple alts, especially since the legacy point system rewards it. There are 9 classes, and for each class you will receive 3 leggacy points, one at level 25, another at level 45, and one at level 60.

You can also earn an additional 18 legacy points for leveling the six main tradeskills, one point at reaching 150, another at 225, and at 300 skills in each primary crafting profession.

    Alliance or Horde?

My first caharcher was a Night Elf Hunter on a PvE server, and so I was Alliance. My second character was an Orc Warrior on a PvP server on the Horde side. Since then, I’ve played both sides almost equal.

In Forever, if you pick PvP, then you are locked to one side; on PvE, you can play both Alliance or Horde on the same realm.

This, of course, means I need to pick a side.

    I’m still not sure.

    PvE or PvP?

When I was younger, I enjoyed PvP servers. I had time and patience and could game for hours a day. Now that I’m older and my time is limited, I don’t see myself playing on a PvP server. Plus, let’s face it. I don’t have the patients to deal with the grief. I would rather play on a PvE server and do battle grounds, and then when the occasion occurs, flag myself for PvP.

I’m ready for World of Warcraft Forever

I’m ready for World of Warcraft Forever

I can’t quite explain the allure of World of Warcraft. I was there on day one back in 2004 when World of Warcraft launched, and I continue to play what is now referred to as ‘retail’ today. When Classic debuted in 2019, it was a great dose of nostalgia, and I enjoyed it way more than the original. Now that Forever is just around the corner, I can’t contain my excitement. I’m looking more forward to this than any previous World of Warcraft game or expansion.

While I pre-ordered Forever, I did not play in the beta, as I would rather not ruin the surprise. Instead, I followed some blogs, forums, and sites for news, but I kept it light.

With only two weeks left until the November 4th launch, I can’t wait.
